I am originally from Dallas, Texas, but have called Austin home since 2008. While nursing is a very rewarding career, over the years, my interest has turned toward my childhood passion-baking. My mom, a self taught home baker, is my first and greatest inspiration. I eventually earned a Diploma in Professional Pastry Arts through the Escoffier School of Culinary Arts Program and took my dream to the next step in 2019 by launching Bright Dawn Kitchen. I find great joy in building community by connecting with others and brightening their day through my baking. This community spirit continues with my mission of bringing people together through custom desserts and baked goods with locally-sourced ingredients, from eggs, honey, and herbs to fresh milled flour and locally made flavorings.
