Biscuit Eater Bakery began with Misty’s passion for baking and Gary’s creative talent. Together, we built something beautiful, and now we’re reinventing that dream. In 2021, we closed our beloved bakery in Lufkin, Texas, after Misty accepted an amazing job in Victoria. COVID-19 had brought challenges we couldn’t overcome, and leaving the bakery behind was heartbreaking. For a while, baking was too painful to even think about. We settled into new roles in education, made great friends, and eventually found a new dream—an old 1940s house we call “Pearl the Dream House.” Renovating Pearl, especially the kitchen, slowly brought us back to baking. That familiar spark returned, and with it, a renewed dream—one shaped by experience, perspective, and love. And the name? Inspired by Misty’s great-grandmother, who often said, “Son of a biscuit eater!” in the kitchen.
