1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the vegetable oil, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract together.
  4. Gradually add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients until well combined.
  5. Slowly add the warm water to the mixture. Violà! You're done!
  6. Fill cupcake liners slightly more than halfway and bake for 18-22 minutes.
  7. Let the cupcakes fully cool before frosting.

1 cup salted butter, softened
5 cups powdered sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4-6 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat butter on medium for 5 minutes.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar one cup at a time until well combined.
  3. Slowly add the cocoa powder and mix for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Add the vanilla and heavy cream. Mix for an additional 2 minutes.
